Divining Comedy with Jed Rapp Goldstein & Jennifer Azlant

$35.00

Saturday, July 30th 10am

Everyone has a sense of humor (yes, even that one guy), but not everyone's great at being funny (see: that one guy). Let's bridge that gap together in a workshop that explores what makes us laugh and commits to finding more of it in our lives, observations, and voices, internal or otherwise. Whether you're a lifelong cutup or haven't smiled sincerely since Obama's first term, this workshop will harness the tragic and mundane for comedy and connection (hint: they are the same).

This online workshop is for anyone neck deep in the work and seeking more confidence tenderizing their world into levity, join us for some re-patterning, some healing, and with a bit of luck, more than some laughter.

A little bit about Jed & Jen:

Jed started in live comedy in San Francisco and ended up working in televised drama in Los Angeles. Still clinging to humor like his (social) life depends on it, you'll now have a chance to join him on a real-time odyssey from drama back to comedy. Like a fun odyssey though. He's seen many stories through to the big & pocket-sized screens: writing and producing for Ozark, writing and strategizing for an unholy number of brands, and lately, taking creative lead of a global community of live-streaming travelers at Heygo. Laugh with him, laugh at him... it's really up to you.

Jen was consistently voted 'Best Sense of Humor' by her peers in junior high, high school, her local bar, etc., but she grew up in a small orchard town adjusting to the shock of harboring the world’s tech giants; so the chips were, you know...silicon (and stacked). She's since tested her wits (+/- witticisms) working on books in New York; in apps, podcasts, and brands in California; and delightedly with the worldwide T&T community over the last couple years.
